In our newly minted Busy Gamer Podcast 60 (possibly the best 26 minutes we've podcasted!), we review our 2010 Game of the Year for busy gamers - Fallout: New Vegas - and state that its predecessor probably would have been our 2008 pick if we had gotten around to naming a Game of the Year back then. With good reason: Fallout 3 is a solid role-playing game with an intense post-apocalyptic storyline, excellent soundtrack (give it a listen in GrrlGotGame's Fallout 3 Audiophile segment) and quests that are just engaging enough to keep you hooked for 100+ hours but not so deep that you can't turn the game off when you need to get to family, work, or sleep.
You can choose to play good (like Gamewatcher), bad (like GrrlGotGame) or neutral - each with different results in the story and your stats. There are some great twists and more side quests than you can probably imagine.
If you haven't played the series, this is the place to start. Or win it for a friend or family member you'd like to share the experience with. It's a sealed copy, so you can even wrap it up as a present and just not mention that you won it. (We'll throw in a Busy Gamer News button, so you can keep that for yourself!)
