Act Fast! - EA to shut down more multiplayer games including Madden 09 and Facebreaker

It's that time of year: EA is getting ready to close down some more game servers. So if you want to milk the value from your aging multiplayer sports titles, you'd better do so before February 2.

The games going bye bye on that day include some of those 2009 franchise entries you fished out of the bargain bin recently, plus many older games:

  • PC: FIFA 07, Madden 08, NHL 08, Tiger Woods 07 and UEFA Champions League 07
  • PS2: FIFA 07, Fight Night Round 3, NBA 08, NCAA Football 08, NCAA Football 09, NASCAR 08 and NASCAR 09
  • PS3: Facebreaker, Fantasy Football 09, Madden 09, NBA Street and NFL Tour
  • PSP: FIFA 07, Madden 09, NBA 07, NBA 08 and NHL 07
  • Wii: Madden 08, Madden 09 and NBA 08
  • Xbox: Madden 09
  • Xbox 360: Facebreaker, Fantasy Football 09, Madden 07, Madden 09, March Madness 07, NBA 07, NBA Street, NFL Tour, NHL 07 and UEFA Champions League 07
For those keeping score, Xbox 360 is the biggest loser with 10 titles decommissioned. In addition, European gamers are losing NBA 09 for Wii and NASCAR 09 for PS3 and Xbox 360. Guess they didn't sell as well over there...
