It's that time of year again, when people nag you to do the right thing. We wouldn't bother you about this, but the cause is great and the cost is small. With Child's Play, you can quickly find a game, book, movie or toy and donate it to your nearest children's hospital or, perhaps, one that has helped you or your family in the past. Anyone who has had to spend even a few hours at one of these places knows how a small gift or good book can make a huge difference in a time of great trauma or difficult treatment. Our own son has benefited more than once, and it meant the world to him. ("I got this for being brave," he said after getting 7 stitches on his chin.) You could donate cash, but the big drive is to order items from wishlists created by each of the nearly 70 participating hospitals. The campaign also doubles as a big wakeup call to those (like the mainstream media) who seem to think gamers are a bunch of antisocial wackos. We have big hearts, and once a year we get to wear them on our sleeves. Give whatever you can...
