Pre-order Goodies - Uncharted 2

Uncharted 2Keeping with its usual bag of marketing tricks, Sony is offering a range of bonuses depending on where you preorder Uncharted 2: Among Thieves:

  • Amazon.com: Treasure Map to help you discover the game's hidden treasure items
  • Best Buy: Gold Barettas and AK-47
  • Game Crazy: Currency multiplier that lets you gain in-game currency and unlock bonuses faster than your non-Game Crazy purchasing opponents for a limited period
  • GameStop: Early access to the multiplayer demo Sept 9-29 and immediate access to the Revenge booster (normally not available until late in the multiplayer campaign)
Does anyone else feel like some of these unbalance the game from the start? Or is all fair in love and preorder incentives...

1. Hostile:

I don't see a need to preorder at all with those bonuses. GameFAQs and trophy guides will tell me where all the treasures are within a week and multi-player won't be played at least until the single-player is completed.

2. sixxv0lt :

I'm all for pre-ordering, but when exclusive items give you earlier unfair advantages, I tend to look down upon them.

Also, I hate choosing which store to pre-order from.
