Stupid Marketing Tricks - Mass Effect Galaxy unlocks Mass Effect 2 'reward'

The newly released $5 Mass Effect Galaxy for iPhone/iPod Touch grants you a special boon if you finish it: a "reward" that will be unlocked in Mass Effect 2, due for PC and Xbox 360 in 2010. Alas, early reviews of the portable tie-in game are not terribly kind and you'll have to create an EA Account on both platforms to transfer your bonus, most likely an in-game item with little real value (though we probably won't know for sure until launch day). If you're a Mass Effect fanatic who happens to own a supported Apple touchscreen device, go for it - and let us know what you get for it next year...
