Stupid Marketing Tricks - Left 4 Dead free (not really!)

This Thursday at 8:01 p.m. Eastern (5:01 p.m. Pacific - aka the exact moment this past week's Free Stuff Friday closes), Valve is releasing the PC version of Left 4 Dead for free. The catch is that it's only free for 24 hours, so unless you can stay up all night and/or take Friday off to power through the game you can consider it a very limited free trial. The game will timebomb at the end of the "Freaky Free Friday" as they apparently like to call it around the Steam labs. If you're going to do this, you can preload the game files now so at least you won't be stuck downloading it for one of those hours...
