Patch These Games - Fallout 3, Fable II and SOCOM: Confrontation

First, if you managed to snag the Midnight Club: Los Angeles South Central add-on pack for Xbox 360, it can apparently mess up your saves and achievements - so you should probably delete it and wait for the official release. OK, now for the recent game updates that have been intentionally released for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360:

  • Fallout 3. This patch corrects lots of specific glitches, quest problems and exploits on all platforms, plus corrects some PS3-only issues including crashes related to Friends notifications.
  • Fable II. This one fixes various quest glitches (e.g., Monk's Quest, Hero of Skill), game glitches (Guild Cave chest should now cough up all earned bonus and collector's edition items you've redeemed) and in-game improvements such as ensuring the Bowerstone furniture shop will always sell you something. While you're at it, you can now purchase the Knothole Island expansion for $10 or get the free version which lets you play co-op with a friend who has bought it, but you can't complete quests or earn achievements.
  • SOCOM: Confrontation v1.3 reduces network issues and bugs plus makes player requested improvements such as a lower encumbrance penalty, better accuracy while moving and a six minute Medley round default. Alas, this one comes with a price: Player stats have been reset.
