Be Careful Out There - Rock Band 2 glitch eats bands

A Rock Band 2 glitch may cause you to inadvertantly lose your character or render your band inaccessible. Those who experienced the bug believe it happened after pairing an Xbox Live-enabled leader with a non-Live bandmate. If you enter Quickplay mode after the problem strikes, your character may be lost. Any songs that are unlocked remain so, but having to start your career over - sometimes after hours or even days of progress - can be frustrating. Harmonix so far hasn't addressed whether they have identified and will patch the problem, so you may want to only play with friends with active Live accounts or just work on your solo career for now...
