Nintendo revealed a slew of new games for the Wii and Nintendo DS:
- Wii Music, previously teased before the Wii launch, was finally demo'd with drumming (using the balance board for foot pedals and the Wiimote with nunchuk for sticks), saxophone (Wiimote only) and violin and guitar (Wiimote with nunchuk). The game has no real goals or notes to follow, though it does have songs (including the Mario theme) and drum lessons to teach you how to play in "just a few weeks." It will also record videos of your performances.
- Wii Sports Resort with Wii MotionPlus (due in spring 2009) improves the default Wiimote motion sensing in three dimensions for more advanced activities such as frisbee throwing, jet skiing and fencing
- Animal Crossing: City Folk (Nov. 16) works with the WiiSpeak "community microphone" that sits on your sensor bar and allows room-to-room voice chats
- Rayman Raving Rabbids: TV Party lets you play some minigames with your butt on the Wii Balance Board (looks kinda fun, and I don't usually say that about party games!)
- On the DS:
- Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars (really!)
- Guitar Hero: On Tour Decades (because 25 songs really is not enough)
- Cooking Navi with real recipes to help you in the kitchen
- Other new capabilities, such as WiFi airport data access to find your connecting flights, luggage and local amenities
