Stupid Marketing Tricks - Age of Conan pre-order offers

If you pre-order Age of Conan, Eidos is piling on the extras: most notably, three days access to the MMO world before the riffraff gets in. That's right, you'll be able to play on May 17 instead of May 20. Oh yeah, that privilege will actually cost you an extra $5. But wait, there's more. You can get exclusive in-game items such as the The War Mammoth mount and the Mammoth Traveler's Bag with eight additional inventory slots (if you buy from GameStop), the Amazon Curved Bow and a hardcover mini-guide (if you buy from Amazon.com), an art book (if you buy the standard edition from GoGamer.com, or the Collector's Edition from anyone) and the Killer Rhino mount with inventory bag (if you buy from yet-unspecified "selected retailers"). Actually, this may be the sloppiest pre-order promotion yet. First, it's vague on details about how to select the pre-order goodies you want. Then there's the $5 charge to get three extra days when the game only costs an estimnated $15 a month and the first 30 days are free! Plus, many of the in-game exclusive items require you to level up before you can use them...
