PlayStation Store - New store, no new content

PlayStation Store update
PlayStation Store update
If you've been curious to see the new PlayStation Store, boot up your PlayStation 3 and patch it to v2.3 now. After about 30 minutes of downloading and installing the latest firmware, you can say goodbye to the ugly Web-based store and hello to zippier launch times and a somewhat cleaner looking interface. The new store even shows you what you've already bought and downloaded, though it has yet to be caught up with the latest Rock Band tracks and other downloadable content that was held back these past few weeks. Expect a hefty update Thursday with the non-resellable version of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, the free "Still Alive" (which you'll either love or whine about) and much more. Still no sign of the promised movies and TV shows to compete with Xbox Live Marketplace's HD downloads, but Sony says to stay tuned...
