With the new rumble-enabled DualShock 3 controllers for the PlayStation 3 hitting store shelves next week for $55, Sony revealed that its lightweight but vibration-free (and $5 cheaper) original Sixaxis controllers are discontinued and will most likely run out of retail supply by summer. Since the Dual Shock offers both rumble and Sixaxis motion sensors, you probably won't need any more of the original controller - but as heavy as the new ones apparently are, you might want a backup for those days when you don't want to do reps while playing.
