Act Fast! - PS3 Sixaxis controller discontinued

With the new rumble-enabled DualShock 3 controllers for the PlayStation 3 hitting store shelves next week for $55, Sony revealed that its lightweight but vibration-free (and $5 cheaper) original Sixaxis controllers are discontinued and will most likely run out of retail supply by summer. Since the Dual Shock offers both rumble and Sixaxis motion sensors, you probably won't need any more of the original controller - but as heavy as the new ones apparently are, you might want a backup for those days when you don't want to do reps while playing.

If you are planning to pick up the DualShock, here are the games in U.S. release that work with it (though some titles need to be patched online before they'll buzz):
  • Blast Factor
  • Burnout Paradise
  • Condemned 2: Bloodshot
  • Devil May Cry 4
  • Dragon Ball Z Burst Limit
  • Dynasty Warriors 6
  • Folklore
  • Formula One Championship Edition
  • Go! Sports Ski
  • Heavenly Sword
  • High Velocity Bowling
  • Lost: Via Domus
  • MLB 08: The Show
  • MotorStorm
  • Pain
  • PixelJunk Monsters
  • Piyotama
  • Rainbow Six Vegas 2
  • Ratchet & Clank Future
  • Resistance: Fall of Man
  • Snakeball
  • Super Stardust HD
  • Toy Home
  • Turok
  • Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune
  • Warhawk
