Wii Round-up - Check Mii Out, Virtual Console

The big addition to the Wii is the new, free Check Mii Out channel. Now you can share your Owen Wilson and Michael Jackson look-alikes online for others to judge and even enter them into contests. The first contest, active now, is to create the best hat-less Mario.

There are also some new Virtual Console titles, if you can tear yourself away from Mii creation and Super Mario Galaxy:
  • Axelay (Super NES) - $8
  • Blue's Journey (Neo-Geo) - $8
  • Volleyball (NES) - $5
Incidentally, it looks like the best deal to date for Super Mario Galaxy is at Toys R Us, where they're offering a $25 gift card if you buy the $50 game there. You do have to use the card on a different purchase, and their selection of games is sometimes poor - but, in theory, a great deal...
