Whoa! - Manhunt 2 gets hacked

Rockstar is in hot water again (or is that hot coffee?!) thanks to the insecure method they used in Manhunt 2 to censor snuff scenes that would have earned it an AO rating, blocking its console release and ensuring most major retailers wouldn't carry the game. Rather than re-render the offensive bits, they simply added a filter overlay during the moment of death - and now some hackers have found a way to unlock the original scenes in the PlayStation Portable version. True, you need a hacked PSP and the willingness to tinker with some code to unlock the AO version of the game, but the clips have already begun to surface on video sites - so the coffee is already out of the grinder, if you will. Of course, since this is violence (and not sex) the brouhaha will likely pass pretty fast, except in places such as the U.K. and Australia that have their priorities in order and already banned the game in all of its forms. Not to say that banning games is right, but if you're going to do it - you might as well for the right reasons...
