Rock Band Round-up - Downloadable songs, street date broken

Harmonix is apparently giving Guitar Hero a run for its downloadable money by discounting Rock Band tracks to as low as $0.99, with the average song coming in at $1.99 or three for $5.49 (compared to $6.25 for three songs for Guitar Hero). They haven't matched all of the prices to songs yet (some tracks may go for as much as $3!), but they have announced what you'll find on Xbox Live Marketplace in the first few weeks after launch.

No word on how much full albums, such as The Who and Nevermind will cost, but it appears they won't be launching before Christmas anyway. If you're looking to score Rock Band early, you might check your local Circuit City. At least one store has reportedly broken the November 20 street date - and it wasn't another demo unit...
