Misery Loves Company - Rock Band guitar failures

Early adopters beware! The first run of Rock Band guitars have a defect that's resulted in a high failure rate. Basically, the strum bar just stops working. Harmonix has copped to the problem and vows to replace all defective guitars "immediately" once you register with EA Support. Harmonix also claims to have since corrected the issue, though it's not clear if units now shipping are still susceptible. If you're a do-it-yourself type with no patience and the willingness to risk busting your warranty, a rocker going by Ben Sones posted how he corrected the problem with a couple of screwdrivers and some tweezers.
