RedOctane released a patch late last week to fix problems that some Guitar Hero II players had with an unresponsive whammy bar on some guitars for the Xbox 360 version. Reports have appeared since of bricked systems that display the red ring of death shortly after applying the fix - far outnumbered by those who say it worked, for what it's worth - and still others who are convinced it makes the game either easier or harder.
