
Sony announced the
PlayStation Eye camera, an EyeToy-style peripheral for the PS3. There's no price or date information (just "summer" release), but plenty of cool features:
- 120 frames per second video recording
- designed for low-light situations
- microphone that reduces background noise for improved voice recognition
- EyeCreate software for saving your photos, videos and audio clips, applying special effects and selecting time lapse and slow motion modes
