Xbox Live Marketplace - Alien Hominid HD, others

Alien Hominid HDBy the time you read this, Alien Hominid HD should be out on Xbox Live Marketplace for $10, complete with 16 levels, 7 mini-games and even multiplayer modes (2 on one console for the main game, and up to 4 locally and/or on Live for the minis). Other new downloads include:
  • Paperboy ($5)
  • Four new playable Crackdown agents (free; Gold members only)
  • Demos of Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 multiplayer and Major League Baseball 2K7 (free)
  • DDR Universe songs ($10 for 10, or $1.25 apiece) - includes music by Naoki featuring Paula Terry, Naoki featuring MIU, The Dandy Warhols, Neverakka, KTz, d-complex, Jonny Dynamite, Intuition, R.A.S.T. and Luv Unlimited
  • Crackdown themes ($1.88 each) and picture packs ($2 each)
  • DDR Universe theme and picture pack ($1.88 each)
  • RoboBlitz theme ($1.88) and picture pack ($1.25)
  • Borat theme and pictures (free)
  • Battlestar Galactica theme ($1.88) and pictures ($1)
  • Videos of Unreal Tournament III, the 2006 water balloon publicity stunt and a how-to for the XNA Creators Club (free)
For some reason whenever Marketplace items for a game appear for purchase the same week the game releases, it feels like the publisher skimmed features to increase the purchase price. At least wait a week until avid players have made it through most of the game disc content before shilling bonus content, or let us feel the love by offering the first taste for free...
