Reports from Japan suggest the PlayStation Portable may have a significant design flaw. Apparently some 5,000 units have been returned due to a sticky square button, which gets snagged due to its placement so close to the screen. More troubling is Sony's response that the design has "a clear purpose to it, and it wasn't a mistake." Likely translation: It would be too costly to alter the design before the North American launch in March so we'll just have to deal with the units as they fail...
