Rumor Patrol - Xbox 2 backward compatibility

Will Xbox 2 be backward compatible after all? Trumping earlier rumors, Transitive Corp. reports they've solved the whole PowerPC vs. Intel processor problem with universal emulator software they call QuickTransit. Not only is it seamless, it's apparently quite fast - so there shouldn't be a big performance hit. If this is true, it'll be surprising if Microsoft doesn't just buy the company before Nintendo and Sony can license it...
