The characters of the Dead or Alive series will once again leave the fighting arena, although this time not for a beach volleyball dating sim. Tecmo revealed that Dead or Alive Code: Cronus -- previously assumed to be Dead or Alive 4 -- will be something else, most likely an action or role-playing game (perhaps both). Since DOA4 won't appear in 2004, you can expect it to be a 2005 console launch title. For now, the network-enabled and graphics-enhanced rehash Dead or Alive Online will have to tide over fighting fans...
